Ausblick Newsletter – October 2013

Fall has arrived, the temps are cooling down and Ausblick is actively involved in preseason activities. This newsletter is being sent via E-Blast (e-mail) and paper mail to insure the information reaches everyone.

As many of you are aware, Ausblick has been using electronic mail for a few years now. While it’s been a cost effective process, we’ve found through our data sources, that just over half of the e-mail addresses we send correspondence to are opening the documents. Furthermore, several e-mail address’ are bouncing, which means the information is not reaching the person intended.

As a result, we decided to snail mail every Ausblick Family a paper copy of this newsletter and the flyers included. It’s our attempt to insure you receive this important information. And since we still believe in the cost effective e-mail process, we ask everyone to help us by:

  1. Insure we have your current e-mail address. If you don’t receive this newsletter via e-mail, please send Dennis Evinrude an e-mail with the information. “DEvinrude@ausblick.org”
  2. Please check to insure our e-mails are not ending up in your Spam folder or blocked for other reasons. If that happening, please take corrective action.
  3. If your e-mail changes, please contact Dennis Evinrude or stop at the front desk while out at the club and inform them of the change.

We sincerely appreciate your co-operation in helping insure our electronic messages reach you.

Just as a reminder, Ausblick’s annual Ski Sale is scheduled for Sunday, October 27th. Equipment and other items can be dropped off on Saturday, October 26th., between the hours of 3:30 and 5:30pm. A copy of the Flyer is included for further details. Please NOTE, that this year all sale items must be valued in $5.00 increments. We’ve decided to go this route to streamline the financial transactions and because keeping enough singles on hand was a futile task.

Also included within this Newsletter is a flyer and your invitation to this year’s preseason Wine Tasting Event, November 6th. at Ausblick Lodge. PRP International will be back to offer several selections of wines that will be available for delivery prior to the holidays. So if you’re looking for a night out, shopping for a holiday wine selection or simply looking for a way to introduce friends that may be potential Ausblick Members, please read over the flyer and reserve your spot. Attendance is limited to the first 60 people who sign up and send in the $5.00/person registration fee.

For the “new” Ausblick Members this year, please set aside either Sunday, December 1st. (1-3pm) or Wednesday, December 4th. (6:30-8pm) for attending one of the Orientation Sessions. More information will be sent as we near the dates.

EVENT SCHEDULE: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Saturday 10/26/13:

  • DESIGNATED DROP OFF TIME: 3:30pm-5:30pm
    Drop off & Label your items for sale

Sunday 10/27/13:

  • DESIGNATED DROP OFF TIME: 9:30am-11:00am
    Drop off & Label your items for sale
  • Building CLOSED for organizing: 11:00am-12:00pm
  • SKI SALE – OPEN TO ALL: 12:00pm-2:30pm
  • Building CLOSED for organizing: 2:30pm-3:00pm
  • Pick up your cash AND/OR unsold items: 3:00pm-3:45pm
  • Building CLOSED: 4:00pm

NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER DESIGNATED DROP OFF TIMES

TO PARTICIPATE IN SELLING:

  • Pay $5.00/member selling fee paid when checking in your items for sale.
  • Be a current MEMBER of Ausblick
  • Drop off your items for sale during “DESIGNATED DROP OFF HOURS”
  • Complete approved “SELLERS TAG” and attach to EACH item for sale.

ONLY Ausblick “SELLERS TAGS” can be used & must be attached to each item for sale. SELLERS TAGS will be available at drop off time when $5 fee is paid.

HELPFUL HINTS:

  • Only CASH or CHECKS accepted – NO Credit cards
  • You will need a separate check for each item purchased; so bring several checks

SUGGESTION:

Bring pre-printed address labels so you don’t have to print out your name on each sellers tag. Remember, tags are 3-part, so bring enough for all tags.

Any items left after the building closes will be donated to charity.

Ausblick’s 2013 Fall Wine Tasting Party

Please join us during our second pre-ski-season Wine Tasting Event. Whether you’re interested in renewing ski season friendships early or possibly introducing friends to Ausblick, this is event . And if you’re interested in selecting wine for the upcoming Holidays, orders will be fulfilled on time for your enjoyment during your Thanksgiving and holiday meals.

This event is limited to the first 60 attendees who return reservations.

Event: Wednesday Evening, November 6, 2013
7:00PM – 9:30PM
Ausblick Lodge
Cost: $5.00 per person payable with your registration form.
Make checks out to: Ausblick, Inc.

A sample of your favorite appetizer to be shared with the group would be appreciated.

Wines will be available for order after the evening presentation

To reserve your place at the event, fill out the reservation form you received in the mail, enclose your payment of $5.00 per person attending and mail your reservation to:
