Welcome to Ausblick Snowsports School!
Discover or deepen your passion for skiing and snowboarding with us. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or a seasoned rider looking to fine-tune your technique, our team is here to help you grow and have fun on the hill.
Our professional instructors are carefully selected to match your ability and personality, creating a customized, confidence-building experience. Many of our coaches are certified through PSIA and AASI and bring proven, creative, and modern teaching techniques to every lesson. We’re committed to national instructional standards, ensuring you get the best coaching and tools available.
Ausblick offers a range of programs — including private lessons and specialty clinics for youth and adults — available to both current members and waitlist members.
Snowsports Guidelines for 2025–2026:
- Reservations are required for all programs, classes, and lessons — please book online at least 24 hours in advance.
- Walk-ins are welcome when possible, but please call ahead. Instructor availability is not guaranteed without a reservation.
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund or reschedule. If the hill is open, lessons are expected to run as scheduled.
- Check-in with your instructor at the lesson board outside the Snowsports Yurt.
- The Snowsports Yurt is reserved for instructors only.
- Program availability is limited, so we encourage early registration.
- If you have rollover credits from last season, your code will appear during scheduling.

Beginner Youth Programs (Ages 2-7)
KinderMinis:
Introduce your “Mini” to skiing in a fun, welcoming environment designed for young skiers and their grown-ups. This playful program uses themed skill stations to spark curiosity and build confidence on snow. Through experiential learning, play, and guided discovery, children explore essential beginner skills such as sliding, balancing, and riding the handle tow. With a 3-to-1 “Mini”-and-adult to instructor ratio, each participant gets plenty of personal attention. This class is the perfect stepping stone to our Kinderblick and KinderClub programs.

KinderClub:
Build your child’s skills and love for skiing in a fun, small-group setting. This four-lesson series uses play-based learning and guided discovery to help young skiers grow their confidence, coordination, and mountain know-how. With a focus on fundamentals, safety, and skill progression, Kinderclub prepares participants for future Ausblick programs—while creating lasting memories on snow.

Kinderblick:
Offered every Saturday and Sunday all season, plus daily during the Christmas Holiday, Kinderblick keeps young skiers engaged, active, and having fun on snow. Through a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, our instructors use play-based learning and guided exploration to build skills and confidence. Each session includes about 1.5 hours on the slopes and a 30-minute snack break to recharge. Open to skiers of all abilities, Kinderblick lets you choose the days that fit your schedule—but spots fill quickly! Small group ratios (2 skiers per instructor) ensure plenty of personal attention and support.

Intermediate Youth Programs (Ages 6-17)
Ausblick Freestyle Team:
Ausblick’s Freestyle Development Team is your ticket to taking your skiing or snowboarding skills—especially your air and style—to the next level. Our expert coaches work with riders on one or two planks, guiding you through freeriding on groomed terrain as well as jibbing and jumping sessions.
Throughout your time with us, coaches focus on building solid fundamentals and mastering the right techniques so you can ride confidently and stylishly. We’ll assess your goals and create a safe, tailored progression plan to help you crush it—whether you’re landing your first straight air or perfecting rail grinds. All of our coaches bring top-level freestyle experience and a passion for helping riders push their limits and have a blast doing it.

Non-Competitive Team:
Elevate your skiing or snowboarding in this fundamentals-focused, non-competitive program. Our instructors use terrain features, personalized video feedback, and targeted drills to boost your technique and confidence. Each session includes a mix of race gates, freestyle elements, synchronized runs, obstacle courses, and skier/boardercross challenges—all designed to build skills progressively week by week.

Learn to Turn:
Kick off your weekend with our Learn to Turn ski and snowboard night—designed to set your family up for a lifetime of mountain fun and adventure at Ausblick. This four-lesson series takes you from never-ever to confidently carving the hill, all within a supportive, supervised peer group.
Led by enthusiastic instructors who make learning fun, you’ll build beginner to intermediate skills, master the fundamentals, and discover important safety tips—all while feeling comfortable and confident on the snow. Groups are thoughtfully organized by age, with no more than six participants per group, ensuring plenty of personalized attention.

Snowsports Race Youth Programs (Ages 5-17)
Intro to Race:
Perfect for students eager to learn the basics of ski racing and set their sights on joining the Ausblick Race Team, this focused program runs over five weeks. The first four weeks concentrate on the core fundamentals of BERP—Balance, Edging, Rotary, and Pressure—using targeted skills and drills to challenge and accelerate each athlete’s growth. Guided by USSA Skill Quest and PSIA principles, participants will enjoy night skiing through race gates under the expert coaching of Ausblick instructors.
The program concludes with a fifth-week final wrap-up, featuring a fun, celebratory race night where athletes receive coaching from Ausblick Ski Race Team coaches and Snowsports instructors, making every finish line a victory to remember.

Winter Adventure Camp:
Our wildly popular Winter Adventure Camp is packed with exciting ski and snowboard adventures for kids ages 6 and up! Over four action-packed days, campers will slide, explore, and play their way through Ausblick’s snowy terrain—making new friends and building confidence along the way.
Each day features skill-building activities, fun games on snow, mini-challenges, and plenty of time to enjoy the thrill of winter in a safe, supportive environment. This camp is perfect for all levels, from first-timers to budding pros, and guarantees a memorable winter adventure your child won’t forget.

Martin Luther Adventure Camp:
Ausblick is open during the day on Martin Luther King Day, and Snowsports is hosting a fun-filled day for kids! Enjoy ski and snowboard relays, skill challenges, tubing, and a variety of exciting games both indoors and outdoors.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided, but please remember to pack a lunch for your child. It’s a great way to keep the winter excitement going with friends and fresh air!

Join the Slope Squad for a supportive, skills-focused group lesson designed for women who love the mountain. Your Responsibility Code
Observe the code listed below, and share with other skiers and boarders the responsibility required to have a great experience.
- Always stay in control. You must be able to stop or avoid people or objects.
- People ahead or downhill of you have the right-of-way. You must avoid them.
- Stop only where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic.
- Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail.
- You must prevent runaway equipment.
- Read and obey all signs, warnings, and hazard markings.
- Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
- You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant.
- Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
- If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski area employee.
Winter sports involve risk of serious injury or death. Your knowledge, decisions and actions contribute to your safety and that of others. If you need help understanding the Code, please ask any ski area employee.
